Boiler and Cylinder Upgrade at Nork GP Surgery, Banstead
A new Vaillant boiler and unvented hot water cylinder replacing an old gravity system, with remedial work to meet Legionella guidelines
The Brief
Nork GP Surgery in Banstead was running on an old gravity fed hot water and heating system that had reached the end of its life. As well as being inefficient, an ageing stored hot water setup needs the right controls and temperatures to stay safe, so the surgery wanted a modern, reliable replacement that would meet current guidelines.
What We Did
- Removed the old system: Stripped out the old gravity hot water and heating system in full.
- Fitted a new Vaillant boiler: Installed a new Vaillant boiler with a complimentary 10 year warranty as accredited Vaillant installers.
- New unvented hot water cylinder: Fitted a new unvented hot water cylinder in the loft for stronger, mains pressure hot water.
- New secondary hot water pump: Added a secondary hot water pump so hot water reaches the taps quickly across the building.
- Legionella remedial work: Carried out remedial work so the system meets Legionella guidelines.
The Result
A modern, efficient boiler and hot water system replacing a tired gravity setup, with faster hot water throughout the surgery and the controls in place to keep it safe and compliant.
