New Heating System at Truelove Funeral Directors, Sutton
Full heating replacement for a long-standing commercial customer, worked in stages around a sensitive business
The Brief
We first fitted a floor-standing boiler and hot water cylinder for Truelove Funeral Directors in Sutton around 18 years ago, so this is a customer we have looked after for a long time. The property still had old cast-iron pipework and radiators, and rather than keep patching an ageing system we agreed the right move was to remove it completely and start again.
What We Did
- Created a tidy plant space: Converted an old disused outside toilet into a home for the new boiler and controls.
- Fitted a new Vaillant system: Installed a new Vaillant boiler, pump, motorised valves, and heating and hot water controls.
- Worked in stages: Because of the sensitive nature of the business, the work was carried out in stages to keep everything running with minimal disruption. We kept the existing hot water cylinder in use for now.
- Placed radiators discreetly: Relocated a radiator to a more discreet position to suit the rooms.
The Result
A reliable, modern heating system replacing a tired cast-iron setup, installed carefully around a working business that could not afford disruption. As a next stage, at a time that suits them, we will fit a new unvented hot water cylinder and extend the radiator circuit.
